About Me
My name is Ori. Welcome to my personal site.
I am a physicist by training and an admirer of the world around us. I think bugs are so cute, especially beetles, and sometimes I wish I could be one. I'm a collector of fossils, bones, rocks, and curiosities. I like taking walks and watching the plants change from day to day. I appreciate clear nights when the moon looks so crisp. I enjoy train rides, both familiar and unfamiliar—even my daily commuter train is a good time.
I am rather adept at wielding a needle and thread. I love making mixed media fabric creatures like the ones hanging out on this page. My favorite household chore is mending clothes, and I've also spent many an hour hand-sewing historic-inspired garments.
I like to make art in traditional media including watercolor, alcohol markers, painting, and collage. Really, I will try anything. I am part of an online art trading community called ATCsForAll, where we exchange art (primarily 2.5" x 3.5" Artist Trading Cards, or ATCs) through the mail. Getting letters from all around the world is a great joy, and even better when they're full of art! I couldn't recommend it more.

About The Site
I started this website in 2026 as a celebration of things that are special to me. My secondary goal is to have fun with the design and use web development as a creative outlet. That will have to start with re-learning HTML/CSS, because I have gotten really rusty since I first learned it in high school.
The site will always be a work in progress, but you are welcome to poke around and make yourself at home.
Inspiration
I took inspiration from ribose, coffeeplant, and garfriend for the design of the homepage. Its concept was loosely inspired by the anime Champignon Witch.
